Susan Prislopski Dickens has been painting since childhood. She has recently returned to her desire to interpret nature capturing the rural vistas before they disappear and the light reflected from everyday objects.
She studied under Blanchard Gummo and William Lasansky at Bucknell University. Attended Elmira College and received her BA in Studio Art and Art History from Harpur College, SUNY Binghamton.
She returned to her art in Spyglass Studio after founding and being the Executive Director of a cultural center since 1995.
She has won various awards for her art work and her paintings are held in private collections around the US, England, Germany, Japan, France, and Qatar.
She lives in Georgia with her husband, Larry. She has two grown daughters, a granddaughter, and a grand dog.
She continually travels world-wide visiting major galleries and museums furthering her studies of the great masters.
